Form one student kills brother with poisoned arrow

Baringo - Police in Eldama Ravine are holding a 15-year-old form one student over the murder of his elder brother.
Bramson Kipchumba, a form one student at Kamelilo Secondary School was arrested for allegedly piercing Edwin Kipkogei, his brother with a poisonous arrow, killing him instantly.
According to Seguton Chief, Eric Kipyator who reported the incident to the police, the deceased was shot moments after he picked a quarrel over family property with the suspect.
“The suspect got outraged, picked his arrows and shot his brother. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the arrow poison,” said the chief.
Sombre mood has ebgulfed the sleepy village of Sambarach on the foot of Timboroa Forest as neighbors try to come to terms with the killing.

Koibatek Deputy OCPD, Johnathan Wafula said the suspect is still in police custody as investigations into the incident continue.
“We have arrested him and will arraign him in court after the post-mortem results are out,” said the police boss.
He said that police are yet to establish the cause of the quarrel.
“We are still investigating the cause of the quarrel. The killing is horrendous and worse still, they are brothers,” he added.
The body of the deceased has been taken to the Koibatek sub-district mortuary.
