Nyeri - A Form One girl who has been missing for almost a month was Thursday found in the house she has been allegedly cohabiting with a male friend.
The 15-year-old girl went missing a day after she was sent back home for reporting late from mid-term break by the administrators of a Mukurwe-ini Secondary School where she was a student for only two week.
The girl was found with her host in his house after she was tracked using the mobile phone she was using to contact friends.
Speaking to the media, the minor denied ever living under the same roof with her suspected 'abductor', adding that she has been spending her nights inside an abandoned house in Kiawara village.
According to police sources, her host, 18-year-old Julius Githaiga who is a Form Four leaver is believed to be a member of the Mungiki sect.
The girl had however made an attempt to protect him saying that he is well-mannered though he has some friends who smoke bhang.
She claimed that the decision to run away from her parents was as a result of a stressful life she had been subjected to by her parents.
However, her father, David Wambugu who is a businessman in Nyeri town dismissed the claims stating that he was shocked by the sudden change of behavior of his third-born daughter.
Wambugu said that he has struggled to look for a boarding school to satisfy the wishes of his daughter whom he said had scored marks too low to get admission at her school of choice.
The angered father said that he is considering the worst option of not investing in her daughter's education saying she has totally torn him to parts.
He also asked the government to take stern action against the suspect, adding that if let free he could do the same to other school-going girls and thus cause a lot pain to parents.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in court later to answer to abduction charges.
