Forget about western votes, MPs tell Uhuru

Nakuru - A section of members of parliament from western Kenya have told President Kenyatta to forget about western votes in 2017.
The MPs said that President Kenyatta was wrongly advised that by nominating Eugene Wamalwa to the cabinet, he will win the souls and votes of Luhyas.
Speaking at the Naivasha Samba lodge on Sunday, Emuhaya MP Wilber Otichillo, Eseli Simiyu (Tongaren), Alfred Agoi (Sabatia), Paul Otuoma (Funyula) and Chris Omulele (Luanda) said that western people will not be fooled by a mere cabinet position.
“If the President thinks that by giving Wamalwa a job he will win western votes, then we are sorry because we are not that cheap. He used Wamalwa in 2013 and now he is rewarding him when it’s too late but let him know that western has its owners,” said Otuoma.

Sabatia MP, Alfred Agoi warned UDF leader Musalia Mudavadi against falling into the traps of Jubilee and called on him to remember what happened in 2013 and chart his own political destiny.
“The same Uhuru duped Mudavadi in 2013 and he has started it again but I want to warn my brother Mudavadi to be wary of this man because all he wants is to use him and dump him later,’’ said Agoi.
The MPs called on Mudavadi and Wetang'ula to join forces ahead of 2017 as a way of solidifying the western voting block for their own benefit and the benefit of their people.
