Five arraigned for gang-raping a 74-year-old granny

Nakuru - Five middle-aged men were on Tuesday arraigned in a Nakuru court facing charges of gang-raping a 74-year old granny.
George Muiruri, Joseph Chege, George Gichanga, Richard Kariuki and Joseph Maina were charged before Chief magistrate Samuel Mungai that on February 18, 2014 at Maili Kumi Centre in Bahati, laid an ambush on the woman and subsequently gang-raped her.
They faced a second count of indecent act of touching the plaintiff’s private parts.
They however denied the charges and were released on a KES 200 000 bond.
The case will be heard on May 15 with a mention on April 3, 2014.
