Mombasa - Police in Mombasa have launched a manhunt for gunmen who shot and killed a youth in Majengo.
The 34-year-old Hassan Suroor was shot dead by unknown gunmen just a few days after a Muslim preacher was killed in Likoni.
He died at the Coast General Hospital where he had been admitted after being sprayed with bullets in the abdomen by the unknown gunmen.
According to area residents, Suroor met his death while driving his car with his friends near Arya Primary School.
The killing comes a few days after a moderate Muslim preacher was killed the same way in Likoni on his way from a mosque.
Human Rights groups have condemned the killing and asked the government to provide security to Mombasa residents.

"We have seen a boy being shot in broad day light, nobody is safe, people who are doing this should be known," Husein Khalid said.
“This is the 34th killing in the coastal region in the last three months, we want to ask the government to provide security for its people," he added.
However information from security circles indicated that Suroor was among the youths who came back to Kenya after receiving training in Somalia.
