Nyeri - Tetu police officers have arrested a middle aged man and his 14-year-old son for defiling an 11-year-old girl who is the man’s daughter and sister to the boy.
The two were arrested after the girl narrated about the incident to her aunt.
The man was living with the two children after he separated with his wife over domestic disputes.
The suspects have been later (Thursday) arraigned separately in a Nyeri court.
They were charged that on diverse dates between the months of June and July they abused the girl by touching her private parts and having an intercourse with her.
The prosecution led by Chief Inspector Stanselous Mwangi, told the court that the father had an indecent act with the minor by inserting his fingers into her private parts.
The offences were allegedly committed at Mutathini village in Tetu Sub-county Nyeri County.
However, while appearing before Nyeri Principal Magistrate Phillip Mutua, the two accused persons denied the charges and were released on bond terms of KES 300,000 and KES 100,000 respectively.
The case will be heard on August 12, this year.
