Bungoma - A man was arrested in Kabula location, Bumula Sub-County after he allegedly disciplined his daughter who later died while undergoing treatment at the Bungoma County Referral Hospital due to injuries she suffered.
Wekesa Machimbo, 48, is said to have caned his 16-year-old daughter when she returned home after spending three nights with her boyfriend.
The deceased sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in 2013 and joined a village polytechnic because her parents could not afford to pay for her secondary education.
Her boyfriend has since fled for fear of being arrested.
