A farmer in Molo has been charged by the Molo magistrate Samuel Onyango with excessive application of pesticides which he allegedly did near a river source.
Wesley Namwai was arraigned in court with charges of endangering human life in the area by not using the chemical as instructed by the manufacturer.
According to a witnesses, the accused ignored the directions and went ahead to apply the pesticide in his farm in close proximity to the river Seguton.
However, he has denied the allegation citing that the damage caused on the vegetation was due to cold weather and not the pesticide.
The case will be mentioned on February 27 as preliminary investigations are underway.
