Nairobi - Cultural music hit singer Murimi wa Kahalf has been laid to
rest, a week and a half after his demise.
The singer, best known for his sit
song “Ino ni Momo” passed on after battling illness for months, eventually
succumbing to it.
He has been mourned across the country, many terming it as a
huge loss to the cultural music scene. Before his battle with illness started,
which saw him stop preforming due to his poor health, the artist was one of the
fastest rising Kenyan stars, well on the way to stardom.
Rumor has it that he might have known that his end was near
after a post he made on his Facebook wall days before passing away.
“When you walk in the shadow of the valley of death, it’s only the spirit of
God that can lead you. Lord Reign forever.”
The funeral was held at his home in
Gatugura Kirinyaga County, with some of the biggest names in the Kenyan music
industry being in attendance. May he Rest in Peace.
