Family goes beserk after food poisoning

A family of five people is hospitalized at Nyeri Provincial General Hospital following a food poisoning incident.
It is reported that the five, including their mother, consumed some traditional vegetables on Friday night which their mother had picked from a farm in Kieni.
According to neighbors, the family moved to the area recently from Nairobi, and are reportedly ill informed about the rural life.
At the farm, she plucked Solanum Psedocapsicum (managu) leaves but she happened to mix them up with other leaves which are poisonous.
It was after consuming them that the family went off-their-rocker, mad by engaging into wildly and unreasonable confrontations.
Neighbors intervened to know what was going on during the 10.00pm incident, but they could not understand since each was 'in their own world'.
Their father arrived late at night only to learn what happened to his family. Though hostile, they were all rushed to the hospital under tight guidance where they are recuperating now.
Neighbors said they were amazed by the incident saying the woman would have inquired about the traditional vegetables which are in surplus following heavy rains pounding the area.
