Family Bank awards customers

Nairobi - Family bank today held a prize presentation ceremony for the grand draw winners in the just concluded Kunancha acre na Milli Tatu Pap! Promotion, where three lucky customers won KES 4.5 million and 2 acres of prime land in different locations in Nairobi.

Speaking during the ceremony, the banks CEO Peter Munyiri said that the bank decided to add value to their stakeholders and reinforce its position as one of the fastest growing banks in the region.

The promotion, which began on April 18, rewarded its customers with cash prizes in terms of KES 100 000 and KES 50 000 in its mini draws, that included motorcycles and smart phones prizes.

The bank reported a KES 703 million pretax profit, a 132 percent rise compared to KES 303 million over the same period lat year.

It became the only bank, according to a report released by the Central Bank of Kenya to burst the 100% mark in profitability in half year results this year.

In the results announced last month, the bank doubled its profitability over similar trading period last year.

The CEO said that the bank was rewarding its customers with land, one of the most prized assets in the country.

“We are creating a sense of ownership to our customers who have stood with the bank since its inception and similar programs will run in due course,” said Munyiri.

Some of the lucky winners included Mary Mandu Ofwiko/James Imende Ayako from Busia with 1 acre and KES 3 million, Daniel Oima Masero who won half an acre and KES 1 million and Hezekiah Karanja Kinyajui who won Quarter acre and KES 500 000.
