Nyeri - Two fake nun who were arrested during the beatification of Sister Irene Stefani in Nyeri have allegedly escaped from police custody.
The two were supposed to be arraigned in court but could have been released by police, according to a security official.
They were arrested at Catholic hostels near Dedan Kimathi University along Nyeri-Nyahururu road, trying to steal from pilgrims who had attended the beatification ceremony.
