Facebook increasingly becoming a sex den
12 April 2013, 14:52
Everyday Facebook gives me notifications of the new pages my friends have liked if not the most popular pages my friends like.
During the campaign period, the pages liked leaned towards the political parties and interests. I have no problem with that for now.
I take issue however with the number of sex pages constantly coming up and how people are quick to like these pages.
Yes, it's true we have the freedom to do whatever we please but truth be told we are fast becoming a sexually pervert nation; a nation that worships sex more than God.
Take a look at the funniest jokes we make; don't they lean towards sex?
What of the pictures we post?
Am not in any way trying to attack ladies but truth be told, those provocative photos and nude photos that most of you post are not helping in this war.
Status updates have to be of sexual nature so as to attain the maximum number of likes; some also have to use obscene language just to fit in.
All of a sudden just posing with a girl for a facebook photo is not enough; one has to make the lady 'bend over' or make extremely sexual poses.
Administrators of these pages are also encouraging this behavior by publishing seductive stories and posting the very provocative pictures that are posted by probably unaware users.
Have you ever wondered why these stories never seem to have moral values? Not that talking about sex is wrong, what I am saying is that when words used to describe sex are obscene and disrespectful then clearly we are moving towards the wrong direction.
I once saw a page for lesbians. Some pages pretend to be exposing sexual sins in universities yet end up promoting sex in a big way.
Let me not lie to us, a day is coming when all the things we did will be put to judgement by God because He has given us the Truth so that we can live by the truth.
You know how the Bible talks about sex is different from how the world defines it.
God meant sex to be enjoyed within marriage and therefore if practiced outside marriage it leads to sin.
Married couples have even been lured to join pages that seek to enhance their creativity in bed.
Let me state categorically that the devil will not come to you the way you expect him to come.
He is the father of lies and so don't play games with him.
Before you know it, you are praising all kinds of evil he stands for.
Sex is a tool he uses so much in the recent times and truth be told most people have fallen in the trap.
It grieves God every time we like status updates with immoral connotations.
Why is it that there is always a confession of a girl who has been having sex with the father, or a girl who never seems to get satisfied with sex or a man who sleeps with another man or a man who commits adultery with his neighbour's wife?
If we read the Bible, we would have known by now that these stories seem to revolve around the very things God warned us against in Deuteronomy - Incest, homosexuality, bestiality, adultery, fornication.
We live thinking that all the knowledge we should have in this world is about sex while the truth is that sex is just a fraction of what God intended for us to enjoy.
You see the devil wants us to fix our minds on sex so that we miss out on everything else.
Sex has proven to be the destruction of great men and women in recent history and therefore we should change our perception of sex and start viewing sex as God views it.
The first step towards the achievement of all this I believe is to ask God for forgiveness and immediately begin unliking the sexual pages on facebook.
These pages change our minds greatly and give us problems when relating with members of the opposite sex.
This is mainly because we expect the other sex to fulfil our evil fantasies, failure to which quarrels start.
All this filth and uncleanness will make us miss the Kingdom of God.
Remember that Christ Jesus might just return when you are busy feeding that sexual demon on Facebook.
We have to know that Sex is a gift from God meant for us and not us meant for sex.
Please let us stop stealing and getting ourselves drunken with what God gave us with good intention.
