Eric Omondi speaks out on ethnic violence

24 June 2014, 19:48 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - Not only is Eric Omondi one of the biggest comedians in Africa, and one of the fastest growing brands in the country, but he is also an ambassador of peace for this nation.

He brought this to light after he posted a photo of himself at a prayer meeting with the caption “I speak Healing, Safety, Unity, Peace and Love upon this Nation Kenya in the Lords name”.

He has on numerous occasions also been seen campaigning for peace, especially through the last elections, which saw no violence, despite the world media predicting it.

He wrote a comment on Facebook which reached out to the common mwananchi who is normally at the front line when it comes to ethnic violence.

“Raila Odinga lives in Karen and he has a lot of money hehehe...Ruto lives in Karen too so does Kalonzo... Uhuru lives at the State house by the way... Sasa hizi ujinga zawa Kenya kutukanana mara kuchukiana juu ya hawa ma politicians... heeee... tukue serious”. (We should not be divided by politicians).

Through such acts of selflessness and compassion towards the things that most affect the society, change can come, and Eric Omondi is asking you to be that agent for change.
