Elders condemn MPs

The Rift Valley Council Elders have hit back at 40 MPs allied to Presidential hopeful Uhuru Kenyatta after they threatened to walk out of TNA should Uhuru step down in favor of UDF leader Musalia Mudavadi to be the flag bearer of TNA/URP coalition pact.
In a press briefing held on Monday morning in Nakuru, the council of Elders condemned the 40 MPs saying such divisions in the party will not help any one during this campaign period and that they need to be united if they were to win the forth coming general elections.
The Council spokesperson Gilbert Kabage said that those leaders who threatened to walk out of TNA were ill advised by external forces who are already sensing defeat.
Kabage added that those who are pointing fingers to Uhuru should realize that some of them were in KANU and thus they should stop pretending that Mdavadai doesn't belong to the new borne coalition between TNA/URP.
The elders said they were working towards forging a better co-existence among warring communities in the region.
