Duale to respond to Raila the way he likes

28 October 2015, 18:00 William Korir

Nairobi - Majority leader Aden Duale says that he will respond to a call by CORD leader Raila Odinga to not engage him as he has a right to do so.

Raila earlier Wednesday called on Duale not to engage him as he is not at the same level as the former Prime Minister and that he will engage president Uhuru Kenyatta directly.

Duale though, says that he will respond to the CORD leader on Thursday at his office in Nairobi.

" I will respond to @RailaOdinga tomorrow at 11am in my office at Parliament following his statement that he can only engage the president," he said on his Twitter feed.

Raila, speaking in Nairobi Wednesday, said that if Duale had anything to say to him, he should take it through President Kenyatta as he is more at his level than the Garissa Town MP.

" Duale must stop responding to me as we are not at the same level. He should let the President engage me and not waste time," he said.

Raila was reacting to continued attacks by Duale towards him regarding several political and ethical issues.

He termed Duale's continued behaviour as embarrassing and urged him to keep to his level.

" He should keep to his level because I am not at that level," he added.

Duale has in recent times been on Raila's neck regarding issues such as the ongoing trial at the International Criminal Court as well as corruption in the country.

Last month, Duale called on Raila to testify on behalf of Deputy President William Ruto at the ICC over allegations he had something to do with the fixing of Ruto at the court.
