Duale accuses CORD of using funerals to attack Jubilee

23 February 2015, 12:28 Wilshere

Nakuru - National Assembly Leader of Majority, Aden Duale has said that it is a shame that CORD leaders are now using funerals to hit out at the Jubilee government.

He said that the CORD principals are now playing cheap politics by converting burials into political rallies instead of consoling the mourners.

“CORD leaders have now resulted into using funerals and burial services to attack the Jubilee government,” he said.

Speaking on Saturday at Bahati constituency during a fundraising ceremony, Duale said that the CORD principals are always busy accusing the government yet they are not offering any solution.

He said that Raila Odinga should accept that he was defeated by President Uhuru Kenyatta and move on with his life.

The vocal leader of majority also said that come 2017, President Kenyatta will be the flag bearer of the newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party to face off against Raila.

“Raila and his team need to understand that they were defeated in the past general elections and wait until 2017,” he said.

He also said Deputy President William Ruto will succeed Kenyatta in 2022 under the JAP ticket since they share the same vision for Kenyans.

At the same time, Duale said that appointed County leaders for TNA and URP are not in any capacity leaders of JAP.

“We know Ruto is the one who is going to be the fifth president of Kenya and that is something we have agreed as JAP,” he said.

He also said anyone who wants to get into JAP as a leader must wait for the grassroots elections.
