Nakuru - There was drama on Monday as a drunk police officer threatened to shoot mechanics at a garage on Oginga Odinga Street in Nakuru town.
The officer, who was only identified as Noor, is stationed at Bondeni police station and is said to have been assigned to guard Lions Primary school.
Sources say that he started insulting women selling spare parts before he was escorted out of the shop by one of the mechanics.
One of the mechanics, Charles Serengwa said he was sipping alcohol from a bottle he had stashed in his pocket.
“He pointed the gun at me and threatened to pull the trigger,” Seregwa said.

Officers who were called to disarm him also kept a distance to avoid as they feared he could fired if he spotted them.
The officer kept waving his G3 rifle aimlessly, forcing members of the public to run for their lives as well.
The one-hour incident forced Chief Inspector Nakuru town, Penninah Kamicha alongside other AP officers to use special tactics to disarm the officer without causing any harm.
The AP officers however had to cock their AK47s as the situation threatened to get out of hand.
The police officers were able to recover the rifle, which was taken to Nakuru Central police while Noor was booked at Bondeni police station.
