Driver in court for killing bodaboda operator

Nairobi - A matatu driver has been charged with causing a road accident which left a bodaboda operator dead.
Patrick Karanja who faced three counts, was charged that on August 14, this year while he was driving along Muthithi-Murang’a road, he hit a bodaboda operator George Kariuki, killing him on the spot.
Karanja was also accused of driving a matatu without a speed governor and not having a valid driving license.
He however denied all the charges and was released on a bond of KES 200,000 with a surety of similar amount.
The case was scheduled to be heard on November 16, this year.
