Drama as suspected murderer shows up in court with armed youth

Bungoma - Drama ensued at the Bungoma Law courts Monday morning after a murder suspect who was out on bond showed up for the hearing of the case with armed youths.
Two of the more than ten youths, who accompanied the suspect, Hendrix Waswa were armed with pistols, according to police.
The young men, who alighted from three top-of-the-range vehicles that was escorting Waswa, were ordered to lie on the ground by flying squad police officers at the courts precincts, a spectacle that attracted members of the public.

A brief search led to the recovery of two pistols, and according to a police officer who requested anonymity, they will be charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
Waswa, a Kimilili flamboyant businessman, is accused of shooting dead a 22-year-old on August 31, 2014 after a bar brawl.
The second-year student at Mombasa University College died instantly after being shot in the head by the businessman who is a licensed gun holder.
