Don't sack Waiguru, Duale tells Uhuru

05 November 2015, 18:44 Victor Tinto

Nairobi - Do not sack Devolution CS Anne Waiguru, Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale has told President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Duale says that the clamour to sack Waiguru from opposition leaders and MPs has come from misinformation and that others are to blame for the rot at the Devolution Ministry.

According to Duale, the person to be held accountable is Permanent Secretary Peter Mangiti.

He accused the PS of misling the public by releasing the report that was read in Parliament and thus not handing Waiguru a fair platform to discuss the matter.

" Mangiti should be the one sacked for leaking a crucial document like that one to the public," he stated Thursday.

Duale was flanked by around 10 legislators from the Jubilee Coalition.

Waiguru is under-fire for the wastefulness at her ministry which runs into billions of shillings. She has denied any involvement in the mess, saying severally that her junior officers in the Ministry have been handling issues to do with procurement and other similar concerns.
