Don't be swayed by emotions, MPs urged
16 June 2015, 11:39
Murang'a - Murang’a County MP, Sabina Chege on Monday asked her fellow parliamentarians to be sober when participating in debates in the House and avoid being swayed by emotions.
Chege, while addressing media in Murang’a town, expressed her disappointment in the National Assembly for rejecting Dr. Monica Juma’s appointment to serve as Secretary to the Cabinet.
Chege said the rejection was harsh and not in order, noting that the factors which contributed to her rejection were not valid.
She said the vetting had come at the wrong time when Parliament was running high with emotions and thus she was denied the chance over interpersonal relations factors and not her qualities.
