Nakuru - Persons living with disabilities in Nakuru town have called on the County government to construct special public toilets for them.
Nakuru Nominated MCA representing living people with disability, Jackson Mureithi said that most of them are suffering since there are no toilets to cater for their special needs.
“People living with disability need to have special public toilets which can cater for our needs but the County government has so far done nothing,” he said during a press briefing on Tuesday morning.
Mureithi maintained that the Nakuru County government needs to consider disabled people in the County since most of them feel neglected.

The nominated MCA added that the County government also needs to launch a programme to donate wheelchairs to the disabled people.
Muraithi said that most of the physically challenged lot cannot afford to buy the wheelchairs since they are expensive.
“Most of the disabled feel left behind by this County government and it would be wise if they start donating wheelchairs to some of these people because most of them cannot afford,” he said.
The MCA also urged parents in the County not to be hiding children who are physically challenged saying they also have a right to be heard.
