Nairobi - One of Africa’s premier stars Davido from Nigeria had to go to twitter to apologize to his fans in New York after he failed to perform on March 28, 2014.
The concert was shut down by the New York Police Department due to ‘security concerns’ after the show attracted more fans than the venue could hold. The event was supposed to be held at the Pulse 48 Arena in Brooklyn New York.
The “Skelewu” hit maker had to apologize saying “Damn My NY was too packed police shut it down!! The love and support that came out was overwhelming!!! I will be back! Really sad!”.
He then went on to make a video after the concert apologizing to his fans, where he genuinely seemed apologetic and was annoyed with the event organizers.
Concerns were raised after the fans shut down 2 major roads in Brooklyn causing major snarl-ups.
The New York show was supposed to Kick off his US Canada tour and despite it being shut down, he still continued on to do his show in Washington DC the next day.
