Nairobi - Girl meets boy, boy meets girl, sparks fly and then it
starts raining and the sparks are put out.
It is the beginning of neediness in
the relationship and the problem with us women is that when we meet a man, we let
the relationship consume us and everything else becomes secondary.
Never abandon your schedule or the routine that you have, just because you have a relationship, because at the end of the day, when he is
busy doing what he needs to do for himself you are left with nothing. Classic
example is when the woman abandons her friends and concentrates on making the
relationship work rather than letting it run its natural cause.
Most women come up with the excuse that her friends are the
ones holding her back or giving her bad advice, yet she is the one that ran to
them with her problems needing a shoulder to cry on. You end up ruining a good friendship and
creating a void that you now want a man to feel. He on the other hand, wants to
continue seeing his boys on the weekend and now you become angry because he is
not there to braid your hair and talk over a glass of wine.
Self-love is something that most women do not understand,
you want something so instead of you giving it to yourself, you keep hopping from relationship to relationship hoping that there will be
that prince charming that will be able to fulfill that need. There is no prince
charming and there is no foolproof method that guarantees a relationship is
what will satisfy you completely.
If you were going to make your hair, go ahead and do that,
if its movie night or lunch with the girls, do that, if it is your downtime, do
that, do not cancel just because he called and asked you out. Make him
reschedule, if he does not feel like then that is the easiest yet earliest sign
that he cannot make the effort later on where you are concerned.
Make the man that you want to spend time with be with you, rather than start looking for ways to cut you off after just a few weeks of
Be yourselves ladies.
