DP's real enemies in his own backyard, says Ruto

Nakuru - Nakuru deputy Governor, Joseph Ruto has said that the real enemies of deputy president William Ruto are from his own Kalenjin community.
Speaking in Nakuru town Tuesday, Rutto said that Kalenjins have started throwing stones at their own son instead of standing with him as he prepares to capture the top seat in 2022.
He added that what is happening to the DP is exactly what happened to retired president, Daniel Moi, when he was vice president in the Kenyatta government.
“Our own people have started throwing stones at the deputy president and instead of protecting him, they are being used to finish him in the same way Taita Towett was being used to fight Moi.

“We know the deputy president is clean and will remain so and those trying to fight him must be warned that they are bound to suffer in the long run,” he added.
The deputy governor said that Kalenjins will not sit back and watch their son being crucified by his enemies, saying they will protect him the same way they protected Moi.
“They tried to fight Moi when he was vice president but Moi went ahead to become President and we want to tell them that Ruto will be President in 2022 and we will do all it takes to protect him from his enemies,” he noted.
