Nairobi - The Director of Public Prosecution, Keriako Tobiko Wednesday ordered for the arrest and prosecution of two police officers over the murder of Kwekwe Mwandadzo.
Last month, the DPP directed the Independent Policing Oversight Authority to submit its investigations file into the killing of the 14-year-old Kwekwe to him for review.
“The order follows recommendations from the Independent Policing Oversight Authority,” Tobiko said in a statement.
Kwekwe was shot dead by police officers in Kwale County in August this year.

She allegedly threatened the police officers with a machete, prompting them to shoot her.
Her death sparked countrywide outrage and condemnation of the National Police Service, forcing human rights activists to intervene into the matter.
Her family obtained a court order and exhumed her body which was taken for a postmortem examination.
