DP Ruto too broke to be president, says former MP

11 August 2015, 21:41 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Former Rongai Member of Parliament, Luca Kigen has said that deputy President William Ruto lacks the courage and financial muscle to be President in 2022.

Kigen claimed that Ruto cannot marshal the kind of courage needed for one to take over power and called on him to be strong enough if he wants to rule Kenya in 2022.

Speaking at Rongai town in Nakuru, kigen said that ruling Kenya takes more than just political smartness.

“The truth is that for you to be President of Kenya, you must have the financial muscle and extreme courage. Ruto can be politically smart and have the numbers but he lacks the most important things, which are courage and the money,” said Kigen.

He called on Ruto to establish a powerful network if he wants to be President in 2022.

“Kenyatta, Moi and Odinga have very strong connections outside the country and that is what Ruto should be working to establish because without that it will be hard for him to ascend to power,” he said.

The former legislator further called on Ruto to unite the rift valley region instead of dividing the people, and also seduce people from other regions to support him as well.

“Ruto has concentrated so much on central Kenya and he is busy dividing rift valley but I want to tell him that he should be luring people to his side instead of making more enemies as we head to 2022,” he said.
