Nakuru - Kanu secretary-general, Nick Salat has accused Deputy President, William Ruto of disrespecting Kanu despite being the party that shaped his political career.
Speaking Sunday during a fundraiser at Sachagw'an secondary school in Kuresoi North, Salat alleged that Ruto has been talking ill about the party in his political forums.
Salat said that the party is not happy with the comments the deputy president has been making about it.
“The deputy president should know that Kanu gave him a life in politics. He should therefore respect the party and stop malicious talk,” he said.

Salat said Kanu is there to stay, whether William Ruto likes it or not and asked him to learn to respect other leaders.
He further condemned the DP for lack of democracy principles.
“The deputy president lacks democratic principles; you cannot go around forcing people to join your party. People must be left to make their own decisions,” he added.
Salat also lashed at Ruto for failing to unite people from the Rift Valley, and called him to take the responsibility of uniting people in the region.
