Criminals disguised as prostitutes on the loose

Nakuru - Residents of Nakuru town especially men have been cautioned against female criminals who are disguising themselves as prostitutes only to end up robbing their clients.
Nakuru police boss, Bernard Kioko said that they have received several complaints about men who have fallen victims of the syndicate he says is well coordinated and planned.
Speaking at his office Tuesday morning, Kioko said that in the past one week, two businessmen have been robbed by female 'prostitutes' within Nakuru town.
He said the criminals who work in a group convince their clients to go to a room of their choice before turning against them and robbing them of money and other valuables.

“Those men who are clients to these prostitutes must be told that some of them are criminals and will rob you of anything valuable you have on you. They have formed a clique and are working in groups and that is how they rob people. Last week, one person lost over KES 10 000 and a phone after a prostitute overpowered him and robbed him in town while another one was stabbed on the back before being robbed and therefore men should be careful,” said Kioko.
“If you go there and get robbed don't come here to report as we will lock you for promoting an activity that is illegal in Kenya,” he added.
Kioko said that the female prostitutes use knives and other crude weapons to threaten their clients before robbing them while others drug them to sleep before accomplishing their mission.
