County Reps trained on chamber rules

The officers of Transitional Authority Kenya have accomplished a two day workshop at West Wood Hotel Nyeri where it was giving an induction course to Nyeri County ward Representatives.
The seminar was carried out to train the Representatives on the chamber procedures ahead of Thursday’s official opening.
The workshop which began on Tuesday was also aimed at familiarizing the Representatives with rules and regulations to be observed in parliament while conducting their duties.
Their first sitting will be on Thursday following an official opening by Governor Nderitu Gachagua.
The 30 representatives vowed to serve the public by passing bills that will benefit them in all ways.
The assembly speaker David Mugo urged members to be cooperative saying he is optimistic in transforming the county.
The assembly will also include other 14 nominated members - 10 women, two from youth group and two from the marginalized people in the County.
