Nakuru - Chairman of the Nakuru County Committee of Implementation, Simon Wanyoike has faulted the Executive for failing to adopt and implement policies passed in the house.
Wanyoike said that the Members of County Assembly have passed various motions which could help the County but the Executive side has been dragging their feet on the implementation process.
Speaking to the media at the Nakuru County Assembly Wednesday, the Chairman of the Committee of Implementation said that the Executive arm of the county government should stop feeling superior to MCAs.
He further said that he will not allow MCAs to take the blame for chief executives' failures.
“The executives should stop feeling so superior that they cannot adopt any policies that are passed by the assembly,” he said.
Wanyoike maintained that his Committee will only implement projects at the grassroots level which have been budgeted for.
He also warned chief executives in various dockets of the country government that they risk being fired if they fail to heed the calls of the assembly, noting that his Committee is mandated with the responsibility of ensuring all the set out agenda have been realized within the stipulated time.
