Costarians urged to shun Saba Saba rally

Mombasa - A coast based lobby group has urged coastal people to shun the Saba Saba rally scheduled for Monday by CORD coalition saying it was uncalled for.
Pwani Ni Kenya group challenged Kenyans to support president Uhuru Kenyatta's Government and stop being lured by a few selfish politicians, and urged coastal people to focus on issues of development.
Speaking to the media, the group Chairman Alex Kasuku said they had planned several sensitisation forums to enlighten coastal people on their constitutional rights.
"We are not part of it at all; we don’t agree with them and we urge Kenyans to stop being lured by these people," said Kasuku.
He faulted the report by two lobby groups that linked the Mpeketono Attacks with terrorism saying that the government should be left to conduct its investigations through their support instead of conflicting with its efforts to fight insecurity in the region.
He said the report was misleading since the state had already declared that the attacks were politically instigated.
