Concerns raised over fake mobile phones in Kisumu

Kisumu - Residents of Kisumu town have expressed concern over a group of youth
masquerading as agents from Airtel mobile Company and selling fake mobile phones to innocent members of the public.
In an Area Advisory Council (AAC) meeting held at Kisumu
East sub-County Deputy Commissioner’s office, the members asked the DP and the security team to take appropriate action against them.

Meanwhile, Kisumu East Deputy Commissioner, Moses Ole
Tutui has warned parents against allowing underage children to access
bars and clubs.
Ole Tutui observed that some parents who operate clubs still carried their young children along while on duty.
“This is a criminal offence and whoever is found doing so will be prosecuted,” he said.
He promised that his team will carry out investigations to establish the activities of the said fraudsters.
