The Imenti North acting District Commissioner has urged Civil servants in Meru county to unite to propel the wheel of development in the country.
Speaking at the Meru County Civil Servants Thanksgiving Day, the acting D.C Priscilla Wanyiri has also called on the civil servants to pray for the police department and especially those who died while serving the nation.
The ceremony was also attended by Imenti Central District Commissioner Wanjohi Kiriti and Imenti south D.C Dominic Musyoka.
The commissioners present called on the civil servants to do all they could to give back to the society in a bid to change the perspective held by the public regarding the civil servants.
Civil servants in attendance were urged to be committed to the community and the nation since it’s one of their obligations.
Samuel Kimiti applauded the civil servants move of planning such a day because not many counties have managed to have a day for thanksgiving.
