Nairobi - Citizen TV presenters have allegedly been sent home in a corruption scandal at the TV station.
The presenters who include famous names such as Swaleh Mdoe and others have been sent home on an indefinite basis after allegedly being found to have accepted money from a politician to kill a story.
The up to 8 presenters and producers have been sent home and it is likely will not appear on the station again with senior bosses unhappy over the situation which has left the station facing an issue with integrity.
It is as yet not clear what action will be taken but for the moment, Kanze Dena and Lulu Hassan have been left to deal with Swahili broadcasts at the station while a way forward is sought.
