The “We go to them” peace concert led by Pastor Ben Bahati and Eldoret Pastors Fellowship reached its climax over the weekend in Burnt Forest where Kenyans showed up in masses to witness the function.
The concert that was organised ahead of the coming elections is aimed at preaching peace by touring the regions most affected by 2007 post election violence.
The clergy urged Kenyans to be on the lookout and avoid bad politics that can drive the country into a much worse battlefield than ever witnessed.
“Kenya is a country of God. Never doubt that,” said Michael Njoroge, a clergy with the Kenya Assemblies of God.
The function that was graced by upcoming musicians in and around Rift Valley attracted worshipers from all denominations.
Various artists and choirs performed at the function.
Burnt Forest town as a hotspot of the recent violence has been hosting many Peace functions recently ahead of the next elections.
