Cholera outbreak in Nakuru
06 November 2012, 10:55
Residents of Rhonda estate in Nakuru are expressing fears that they might have contracted water born diseases owing to the storm water that has been flowing into their homes for the last one week.
They are suspecting that the water might have mixed with chemicals from factories within the region, which they now say is posing as a risk to both humans and the wildlife at the Lake Nakuru National Park.
The angry residents say that they have given the Nakuru Municipal Council an ultimatum of one week to solve the drainage system issues in that area or else they will storm at their offices to demand for their rights.
The residents also decried of poor sanitation in the area, saying if the Council doesn't act immediately then the issue might get even worse.
