Chinese man cons local firm KES 135M

Nairobi - A Chinese man has been charged for conning a local firm KES 135 million.
The man, Li Wejie was charged Monday in a Nairobi court for defrauding the firm, Homeland Development Investments the KES 135 million last year.
He was accused of having lied of being able to service a tender, which it was found later, he was not able to.
Nairobi Kibera court chief Magistrate Meresiah Opondo, released Wejie on a KES 25 million bond after he denied the charges out of hand.
The case will be heard next Monday.
