Child trafficking case adjourned

21 June 2012, 17:26 James Kabotia

A Nanyuki court has adjourned the case of a man who is alleged to have had illegally harbored a class 6 pupil in his home for three days.

Cyprian Aithim was charged that between 15th and 18th June this year, he harbored Florence Wangari in his home at Ngarariga village in Ishuga location within Nyeri County.

Aithim denied the allegation that he was eyeing to commit child prostitution against the 12-year-old pupil of Mlima Kenya Primary School.

Nanyuki Senior Resident Magistrate Caroline Obara released him on a bond of Sh 40,000 with a surety of similar amount or an alternative of Sh 20,000 cash bail.

Obara set the hearing on 30th July 2012.

By the time of going of the press, Aithim had neither cleared the cash bail nor the bond.
