Chavakali National School fails to get results

Nairobi - Chavakali National School, in Vihiga County, is among the schools that have not received their KCSE results.
Parents were locked out of Chavakali High School compound, with the watchman saying that he was acting on orders from ‘above’, not to allow anyone in the school, even as journalists begged him to allow them talk to the available teachers in vain.
One of the parents updated that the school had communicated to them that the results had some technical problems.
“Parents of 2014 candidates, the KCSE results seems to have a problem, kindly be patient as the school waits for details, Principal Chavakali High School,” a parent, Namuleyi Wasike, posted.
It was alleged that the school had irregularities in Mathematics and English, which are core subjects that affected all the 317 students who sat for the examinations.
Devastated parents who flocked at the school’s gate to confirm what was happening said that already they had sent the short messages, and the results they were getting were evoking fear and anguish.
In the previous year, Chavakali surprised many people when it emerged on the national scene triumphantly moving from position 102 in 2012 exams to position 8 in the 2013 exams nationally.
Chavakali is one of the two national schools in the county, with the other being Bunyore Girls, which also registered a drop in their mean score as compared to last year.
