Cecilia Mwangi's mum found dead in chicken pen

Kitale - Former Miss World Kenya (2005), Cecilia Mwangi who is also the anti-jigger campaign ambassador for Ahadi Kenya Trust, is bereaved.
The lifeless body of the beauty queen's mother, who went missing five days ago, has been recovered by police in the outskirts of Kitale town, Trans-Nzoia County.
Police on Tuesday found the body of 59-year-old Sarah Mwangi hidden in a poultry pen and covered with chicken feed in her expansive Kitale Farm.
The mother of Cecilia was a prominent farmer in the area, and police have launched investigation to unravel the mystery of her death.

Trans Nzoia county police commander, Jackson Mwenga who confirmed the incident said they received a report from neighbours on the disappearance of the lady on Wednesday.
“A neighbour got alarmed after visiting her when she arrived from Nairobi and found her missing. She noticed traces of blood in her bedroom and reported the matter to police,” said the police boss.
“We will leave no stone unturned and it is only a matter of time before we catch up with the culprits. We are asking any member of the public with information concerning the death of the woman to share it with police,” added the county police boss.
