Nairobi - The CORD coalition will march to State House to force through their plea for dialogue, it has been announced at the Saba Saba day rally.
The coalition has been banging on about dialogue for the last month but to no avail, with the government ignoring calls for talks.
And thus the coalition will march to State House to force through their agenda as announced by Siaya Senator James Orengo Monday at Uhuru Park.
" We will march to State House to push for dialogue, Orengo said to huge cheers.
" Uhuru has refused to talk to Raila. Had he agreed to talk to Raila, we would not have gone to State House at all.
" Our hand has been forced, he added.
Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo on his part was also categorical that the march would go on without any disruptions.
" We had politely asked for dialogue but the time for that has already passed, he said.
" They have ignored us so we will take our case to them, he added.
Earlier in the day, a Nairobi court had withdrawn an earlier directive banning CORD from pushing through with mass action.
Justice Isaac Lenaola had said that it was unlawful to ban Kenyans from the right to protest which is guaranteed in the constitution.
