Nakuru - The Coalition for Reform and Democracy (CORD) will be fielding a candidate in the forthcoming Kabete Constituency by-election.
The ODM Director of Elections, Junet Mohammed said the coalition is working on a plan to have their candidate in the by-election and invited those interested to start submitting their nomination papers.
Speaking on Wednesday at Nakuru town when he met Nakuru County ODM officials, Junet said that the CORD is a national coalition and will not be afraid of fielding a candidate in what is perceived as a Jubilee stronghold.
“CORD coalition is making serious arrangements on how they will have their candidate in the upcoming Kabete by-election. The door is open to all interested candidates to come forward and contest for the coalition's ticket," said Junet.

“We don’t believe in the notion that Kabete is a Jubilee stronghold and we will be in the race to face off with Jubilee. If ODM has an MP in Meru, who said we cannot do the same in Kabete?” he asked.
Kabete by-election which was occasioned by the death of former MP, George Muchai will take place on May 4, 2015.
