CORD must respect Kenyatta - Priest

Nyeri - Renewed Universal Church Catholic bishop Peter Njogu has urged the Cord coalition to respect the institution of Presidency while playing politics.
Njogu, addressing media after a church service in Tetu, Nyeri County, said President Uhuru Kenyatta was elected by the majority of Kenyans.
He said some opposition leaders are making dangerous and reckless remarks which could incite citizens, and urged the government to warn them.
“ The opposition seems to have no respect to the President especially over the recent remarks they made during the political rallies held in Nairobi. Some leaders appear like they have been paid by somebody to taint the name of the President,” he said.
“It is treasonable to say the President is not powerful and yet he has been elected by majority Kenyans. We are worried where they are getting all those powers to utter such words,” the man of God asserted.
He advised the opposition to agree that they lost the elections so that the country can move forward.
Njogu further urged the political leaders to accept devolution and let it flourish.
