Nairobi - CORD leaders run away from Jubilee festivities last week to avoid shame, Majority Leader in parliament Aden Duale says.
Duale says that the three CORD leaders Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula deliberately run away from the country knowing that they would not be able to counter the wave of support for president Uhuru Kenyatta when he returned from the Hague last week.
" I think they knew what they were doing", he said.
" The support for the president was overwhelming and that is the reason the three leaders were all away. How could they have been all away at such a time", Duale posed.
On Uhuru's arrival Thursday, Raila was in the United States, with Kalonzo and Wetangula in South Africa and West Africa respectively.

Duale's remarks though were met with disdain by officials from Orange Democratic Movement ODM.
" The three had planned their trips way before the ICC trial. I do not see where that report comes from, a source at ODM told News24.
Raila in an interview with the Nation Newspapers recently, commented on Uhuru's ICC trial while in America and says that trhe trial judges have their work cut out to solve the case.
" They are the ones to know who is lying between The Attorney General (Githu Muigai) and the ICC prosecutor (Fatou Bensouda), he said.
The CORD leaders are all expected to be in the country in unison at the end of October.
