Nairobi - The Criminal Investigation Department CID has borne the wrath of Orange Democratic Movement ODM leaders for brushing off apparent death threats against Raila Odinga.
The leaders, led by Bondo MP Oburu Odinga had gone to the CID headquarters in Nairobi to report the case in which they say Raila is under threat from East African Community Leaders who feel he is a threat to their status.
But on arrival at CID headquarters in Nairobi, they were told to report the allegations in Raila's home town Bondo.
" We feel insulted. Raila is such an important person in this country for such an allegation to be brushed off like it has, he complained.
According to Oburu, the incident is a reflection of what goes on in the police service.
" It is a reflection of what we see the police service for in Kenya. If you can see us being treated like this, what about a normal Kenyan, he added.
Raila is currently on a two month tour of the United States of America.
