Bullish Shollei demands return to office

Nairobi - Former chief registrar of the judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei has petitioned Chief Justice Willy Mutunga stating that she wants her job back.
Shollei has written to the CJ seeking a return to her former job and compensation for her unlawful sacking by the Judiciary Service Commision JSC.
The former registrar was sent packing in October 2013 by the JSC following claims of corruption and insubordination.
But an appeal at the Industrial court this month ruled that she was wrongfully dismissed and asked that she be compensated.
And in a new twist, Shollei has asked that she regains her position, stating the law as saying it gives her the power to do so.
" The law states that once judgement is delivered, parties must agree on a formula to ensure a swift return to office, a statement from her lawyers said.
" Further as we await the return of our client to office, advice will be sought from the High Court on the process of her compensation for damages and costs of her appeal, it added.
Shollei's position has since been filled by Anne Amadi.
