Bomb detonated in Rongai Nakuru

Bomb experts in Nakuru on Monday evening detonated two home made bombs that were found abandoned at the San Marco IDP camp in Rongai.
Confirming the incident, Rongai OCPD Joseph Mwamburi said that the bombs were discovered by a herdseman at 12.00 noon who later informed the police .
He said that the two explosives were of a very high magnitude and had the capability of blowing off a tractor.
He said that investigations have been launched to ascertain who might have dropped the explosives in the farm.
Mwamburi called on members of the public to remain vigilant and report presence of any suspicious cargo or objects within their soroundings.
Rongai acting DC Jackson Ole Chuta who arrived at the scene called on wananchi to exercise care and avoid playing around with suspicions objects.
San marco camp is home to more than 300 IDP families who were resettled from Mawingu camp in Nyandarua last year.
