More than 500 Bodaboda operators in Nakuru held a peaceful demonstration early this Morning protesting over alleged harassment by the police.
Carrying twigs and Pla-cards, the operators rode through Moses Mudavadi road before administration police officers led by Nakuru District AP Commander John Wachira stopped them promising to address their grievances .
The operators blamed four officers from flamingo AP camp whom they claimed have been arresting them for no reason only for some of them to demand bribes.
They claimed that two operators have suffered arm and limb fractures in the hands of the officers .
They said that most of them have complied with the traffic requirements of a motorcycle rider but the officers have been demanding bribes threatening to lock in those who defy.
Wachira asked them to appoint five representatives who will present their grievances officially to enable him take the necessary action.
